Happy Dr. MLk,Jr Day AND Inauguration Day!

Today is a day we commemorate a man's fight for civil rights. Because of him, people were reminded  to love and respect each other.  Today, President Barack Obama uses a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Bible while being sworn into office for another term. Today, marks another event for the history books of the future, and you are alive during this time! :) Can you think of a great journal topic for your writing tomorrow? I can. See you in the morning.

Happy December; Happy Learning!

We have learned much about a great deal of cultures. You have taught me many new things. Imagine how much more we can learn! Thank you everyone for sharing newly-found information from your family tree. Thank you to those who've already shared snacks or treats with us. Thank you to those who want to share Wednesday! It is very interesting to see how our families came from many places all over the world for us to meet here in our very own classroom! How exciting! :)

Veteran's Day

Here's some history about veteran's and the day we celebrate them. Remember, if you happen to see a veteran, shake his or her hand and say, "Thank you." Enjoy your holiday and think of your freedom and that America is free because of these men and women. Awesome, isn't it? :)  I'm working on having a guest speaker for you. See you Tuesday.
